For us black history is celebrated, researched, and appreciated for much longer than a month. It is an everyday ongoing journey into a past that is often muddled in forgotten accomplishments, murky facts, and untold stories. We feel a personal responsibility to shed light on our history, not in an attempt to separate ourselves, but in hopes of understanding and then educating those who may not know.
