The Bearded Man Speaks home bound: I spent last night at home in the comfort of my bed, man I totally forgot how it feels to be home alone and rested- What a feeling. Not that I am complaining about the opportunities presented to us while on the road or neglecting to thank all my host residences on the west coast. Thanks to Gabe the Great and Yoshi’s for the Hotel Tomo accommodations, Early B for the beautiful high rise accommodations days after the photo shoot. Eli,Kris and the entire crew of Bagavagabonds for welcoming me into the Venice Beach area once I arrived in LA. My Vegas trip and accommodation sponsor much thanks for everything in Vegas while in Vegas for the last three days of my West coast run. This trip really helped me bring the brand’s GPS into focus. From The BKc Style + Character photo shoot in SF with John Midgley, which in my opinion was one of the most AMAZING shoots we’ve done up to this point. We started the project in Brooklyn and set the bar high, but San Francisco raised the bar. We were all pleased with the turn out and energy of the entire three day shoot. Special thanks to everyone who made it out and stepped out of their comfort zone to try new things with the BKc. John Midgley, Scott Newkirk, Gabe, Calvin, Earl, Nchimunya,Chasen & Jeff. Mega & the Blvck Scvle team, Farmer Brown for the great food and for being a part of the shoot, DJ King Most, DJ Shred One and everyone I did not mention who participated in the shoot. You will receive full thanks and credit for the project, no worries.
Spending the last few weeks on the west coast with the beautiful weather has me thinking about riding (motorcycles & Solex mopeds) more & more every day. While in Vegas, I received a call from a fellow biker and photographer Darius Vick about our plans for The BKc motors and the upcoming motorcycle season. I am pleased to say that we are planning to do allot more with that aspect of the brand and find it a home not only in our back yards of Brooklyn of course, but on the west coast in los angeles as well. With Darius’ love of motorcycles, the lifestyle and photography (do you see the BKc connection?) I am excited about our talks to finally roll out (ha!) the project we discussed last year. I have allot more to tell you about, but I won’t bore you with all the details in one post. I promise to post more often (I know you heard it before) please be patient with me. Stay tuned for more and look forward to a great 2010 Season. Yep! The BKc Style + Character & the hundred year plan . . .
