The BKc, Props & Furniture Sidewalk SALE: With all the trips to Brimfield, the weekend vintage markets and all the years of in store props, we decided to part with a few of our favorite and your favorite pieces. Next Saturday we are hosting our very first “BKc props & Furniture sale” in front of the Brooklyn Shop. The event will actually be an opportunity for us to also introduce you guys to our new Brooklyn imports Gabe The Great, JD Elquist and World Music DJ Cato. Lock in the date and make it a point to join us next Saturday at the corner office, in front of the shop for some lemonade, take home a furniture/part of the BKc and some laughs. Although the academy has not started as yet we have already had a few candidates who were interested in joining stop by the shop. One of the more persistent ones, Justin, lives right next door to The BKc NYc. He reads the blog daily and as soon as he heard about the Style & Character Academy he stopped by ready to learn. So The Bearded Man and Gabe the Great decided to give him a few lessons on dressing the part. It resulted in a quick BKc Style & Character Makeover. The BKc, Ladies and Gents . . .

Although we design our collections for men, we look at each piece in the collection as unisex. Unisex in the sense that a BKc lady can easily throw on something from the collection and make it her own. Yesterday was a perfect example of that, Janelle and Bastien two BKc NYc interns showed up dressed almost exactly alike. They both had on The BKc Green Vest a piece that looks great on both men and women. We just might have to make The BKc Vest a part of The BKc Style & Character Academy Uniform.
