The BKc, Circus Trainer: Colin has trained the last few years to master the art of capturing all the special moments at The Brooklyn Circus on and off site, without being seen. It is not often that you see him in front of the camera, but if you see a picture (NYc) on the blog that you love, chances are he is behind it. BKc hats off to him for his continued quest to improve his photography and capture those BKc NYc moments that we may sometimes take for granted and forget to record. We are publicly committing his talents to capturing allot more of what goes on at the BKc NYc on the day to day. As we transition our current team into a new office space and bring on some fresh talent, Colin will be heading the “Archive & Recording” department and continue to deliver more up to the minute blog post and photography. Side note: He is being represented by The Brooklyn Circus and is available for Bar Mitzvah, Bat Mitzvah, communions and weddings, cute brides preferred. The BKc, Shoe Library: New Arrivals . . . We spend our time generously on our search for footwear to fill the shelves of The BKc Shoe Library, after all, a gentleman’s wardrobe doesn’t end at his ankles.
With that being said, we’ve introduced a deeper selection of Sebago’s celebrated 1946 Limited Edition Collection. Late last year we saw a collection of Fairhaven Boots featuring a rough-out leather upper laced with red raw-edged leather laces make it’s way to the shelves of The BKc Shoe Library. Now we’d like to reintroduce those alongside others from the same collection, two designed for Sebago by leather goods maker Billykirk and a third featuring oiled and waxed brown leather. Click the link after the post to see each style in detail, all of which are now available at The Brooklyn Circus SF || 1521 Fillmore Street || San Francisco, CA || (415) 359-1999 (phone orders welcome) & the BKc Online Shop.
The BKc, Ladies Collection: Now that she has settled and has gotten acquainted with NYc, Nchimunya has decided she will be leading the charge of stylish BKc ladies who make The BKc collection look so good. She has already recruited Sharni an Australian ballerina who came to visit The BKc NYc from down under-Melbourne to be exact. Sharni picked out some staple BKc pieces and made them her own. And Nchimunya as always did a great job incorporating the collection into her personal style. So ladies Nchimunya is looking for more recruits, stop by The BKc NYc and be part of our next BKc ladies weekly shoots. Yep! The BKc, Style + Character & The 100 Year Plan . . .
The BKc, 2.0-11 Magical: We are currently busy adding the final touches to our presentation for the Project Trade Show this weekend. So we hope the storm did not slow down anyone’s plans to be in New York city for the big show, as we are looking forward to catching up with everyone. Although the full BKc Spring 2011 & Fall 2011 Collections will be unveiled for the Vegas show, we are pretty excited about what we are presenting this weekend. We’re also working on a preview of the John Midgley + BKc book project set to also launch next month at the *Project 10 show. This season we were invited as curators of the show to introduce 10 emerging brands– a major responsibility, challenge and experience thus far. In the weeks to come, we will begin to feature some of the behind the scene footage of the “Road to Project 10.” Yep! The BKc, Style + Character & The 100 Year Plan . . .
