When Josh called us and said he wanted us to attend a panel he and Travis were speaking on at the Apple store in Soho this past Friday February 25th 2011, we never thought it would be an entire panel for them and about them- pretty major. We left Bucks county Pennsylvania from our “Inspirational Picking” trip (see previous post) around 4:40pm, in time to make it to the Apple store by 6:40pm, with enough time to edit a “draft blog post” on their computers and walk into the conference hall in time. We were surprised when we entered the full house of interested bloggers, shoppers, marketers and knowledge seekers, eagerly awaiting their arrival. The room was full to capacity, standing room only, with a “Meet the creators” billboard at the entrance, wow we thought! this was going to be an entire night of “Streetetiquette.com”, the pressure is on boys. That is allot of talking, video footage and work to keep the crowd entertained. Well, we are happy to report that Josh and Travis delivered an amazing dose of charisma, comfort and clarity of their mission on that stage worthy of an award ,BKc hats off!!!. We sat in the back of the room to get a complete feel of how the crowd was reacting and we are pleased to say that the standing ovation after their presentation spoke volumes. On behalf of the entire BKc family (which Street Etiquette is a part of), we’d like to congratulate Josh & Travis for a job well done, see you at the office. The BKc, Project Show recap cont’d: With so many cameras flashing from everyone trying to record an amazing moment, we are going to do our best to continue to bring you more footage from this season’s Vegas show. This year our very own Ouigi Theodore & The Brooklyn Circus was selected to curate Project 10 or the happening area as it quickly became. The energy was historic, we where given the opportunity to curate a show we were newbies at a short season ago and gained the professional nod from some of the industries most seasoned veterans for bringing together a picturesque community of designers for the 2nd edition of Project 10. Nods from extremely respected veteran Maurizio Donadi of Levis LVC previously of Diesel and Double RL. World famous designer/curator Dr Romanelli, designer Scott Langton, Project show President Andrew Pollard, Sam Ben-Avrahim founder of Project, Neiman Marcus buyer/style icon Nick Wooster & GQ Creative Director Jim Moore.

The pressure at hand is to return to the next NYc Project & Vegas show in August with more heat than Lebron, Bosh and Wade on the same team- the pressure begins. The goal: to present a fully cohesive, hand tailored, with a dash of color, our graphic past/present/future and the quality you’ve come to expect from BKc. Our beautiful shoe selection, fine tailoring and beautiful graphics can surely coexist. Gabe and Ouigi met at FIT as advertising/graphic design students, which means the love of graphic design will always be reflected in the brand as it is in their dna. Therefore, store your worries, they were busy assembling the perfect creative team to really deliver the magical balance. Might we mention that we’ve formed a mutual partnership with a Grammy award winning graphic designer and 2 of the most promising, young graphic designers in the industry. It has been a full time job trying to fill the void left by our long time graphic design partners One Twenty Six since they’ve been so busy managing their successful CXXVI brand.
