Rothschild’s Brooklyn, An Historic Moment . . .

Rothschild’s Brooklyn, An Historic Moment: While on the road, The Bearded Man got on the horn and made an usual call or should I say cry for us to finalize the details of the event he was planning before he left for his road trip. Cancellation was not an option. Details to an event? What event? Thought we cancelled the event, but it definitely wasn’t cancelled, not at all, the event was important and must happen. Gabe and Colin jumped on the case, finalized the details and just hours from his road trip, Ouigi was his jolly hosting self, welcoming the beautiful faces who were lucky enough to join to us this past Sunday.

What exactly were we celebrating? Black History month, the Oscars, All-Star Weekend, good relationships? Yep! All of the above. Little did we know we would also be celebrating the end of an era. The closing of one of our favorite restaurants on Atlantic Avenue, Rothschild’s. Wow! Our favorite gumbo spot with the staff from Cheers is officially closed. We are absolutely going to miss that place “where everybody knows your name and they’re always glad you came”. But like they say in New Orleans, which was a big influence on our favorite little restaurant, “Laissez les bons temps rouler” Let The Good Times Roll. The good times must go on as we search for a new venue to host our monthly social, but we want to send a special thank you and well wishes to everyone from Rothschild’s, we are certain that you will re-appear, stronger and better with our full support. 1. Sad to hear this. Me and my friend Jus had lunch their after the BkC Re-Opening in October of 2010. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was very classic and welcoming. Rothchilds will always be apart of my memory of that trip to the Circus. >>> pics from that day if you care to see http://www.birdbathcabal.com/post/1431908676

  2. Freshness at its finest. I wish me and my wife could have experienced Rothchilds before they closed. I heard the food and service was top notch. My people look really good in these event recap photos. Bless All.
