The Bearded Man in deep thought about all the work ahead and The 100 Year Plan . . .
The Brooklyn Circus Office Mission: This week we got together with Julian Imrie from Julian boots to finalize a project and of course continue our discussion about future partnerships and Changing of The Guards. This week he stopped by with Shin from X-Large and the very talented photographer/Director Dikayl Rimmasch. The chats are always inspiring and it’s great to be in the presence of talented creatives who actually follow up and get things done in a timely fashion. We also caught up with Travis from Street Etiquette who is supervising the SE end of a project that we are working on together. It’s always a great time with lots of laughs working with the SE boys. This project falls under our Changing of The Guards push as well and we are pretty excited about the potential and how you guys will react to it. At any rate, work at The Brooklyn Circus office would be 24 hours if you left it up to us, but the girl friends and wives won’t allow it, so we normally have to go home to eat and sleep. Stay tuned for more, Yep! The BKc, Style + Character & The 100 Year plan . . .
A great shot of Julian in his workshop creating the beautiful handcrafted boots he is famous for. Below a shot of Julian and the gang finding some treasures on the side walks of Brooklyn.
Julien Jonchere & Benjamin Vergnion from Etiquette Clothiers-The most Proper Basics and our favorite socks stopped by to review the details of our upcoming project. Yep! yet another Changing of The Guards Project.
Today we received a fresh batch of “The Worlds Most Proper Basics” from our friends at Etiquette Clothiers. We re-stocked on ours and your favorites, and of course plucked some new styles from their latest Fall 2012 line-up. As always they are sure to go fast, especially their highly coveted collaboration with Berlin store SOTO’s in house brand Le Berlinois. Etiquete Clothiers paired up with them to make a beautiful cashmere camouflage sock.
BKc + Philadelphia Collection + Art in the Age: Philadelphia is slowly becoming another home for The Brooklyn Circus. What started in Brooklyn has over the years found a home in San Francisco, Japan, Chicago and now the ground work is in motion for Philadelphia to be the next home. With the help of our PR partners at Skai Blue Media, expect to see more of the familiar BKc faces like The Bearded Man, Gabe The Great, Colin The Circus Trainer and their famous friends. Yep! We have plans for an outreach to bring some of our Famous Friends to Philadelphia to enjoy the reception we’ve come to enjoy in Philly. Special thanks to everyone who made it out last night to enjoy the environment, the collection and the great drinks. The collection can still be viewed throughout the weekend at Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction 116 North 3rd Street Philadelphia, PA 19106.
Han Kjobenhavn, Denmark: A few days ago The Bearded Man sat down to talk shop with Tim and Yanick from Han Kjobenhavn who were in town for fashion week from Denmark. They talked about Copenhagen and where The BKc fits in the scope of things. It’s always very interesting to sit through meetings about how different markets domestic and International are performing and what works where. As a brand we have our DNA, but are always interested in understand the local culture to see how our brand can naturally fit and grow within said market. Han Kjobenhavn is our only retailer in Denmark (by Design) and currently carries a curated selection of BKc product in their beautifully curated shop. If you are in Denmark, stop by Han Kjobenhavn and say hello to the talented bunch over at there and tell them The Bearded Man sent you. That should get you a smile and great service at the least. The BKc, Style + Character & The 100 Year International Plan . . .
These guys are serious about branding and visual communication, Yep! exactly the kind of people we love to work with.
Is that a Changing of The Guards book Yanick is holding? It sure is . . .
