Back by Popular Demand: If you look back in The Brooklyn Circus archives, you’ll see that we went “All Black Everything” in the summer of 2007 with “The Black Out,” a concept based on the New York city blackouts of 1977 and 2003. We redesigned our 258 location at the time to resemble a black box with all the product offered being black. Our friend and Emmy Award winning videographer Mac Premo said, “Only you guys can have people wear all black in July and be successful at it,” glad you noticed that Mac, thanks! Keep in mind that this was before Mr. SDot and Kanye went “All Black Everything” and got blamed for being part of a secret society.
From that month-long concept a star was born, The BKc Black on Black Varsity Jacket dubbed the “BK Bomber.” The jacket sold out faster than we could have ever imagined, by the time we pulled back the black curtains that draped our windows, we opened the door to a line of 100+ customers waiting patiently to take part in what had been created. Some not so patient ones were handed tickets to return and be a part of our “Black Out” experience a little later, we appreciate you all.
This season we are back with an offering of BKc classics, items that you traveled hours to get from The Brooklyn Circus, only to find out that we were unfortunately sold out of.
