They’re all dope, but I’m going with 9. The bridges, the sewing machine and Made in the USA.

Those are some really great designs, but the one that seems to stands out the most is definitely design number 9. The Brooklyn/Golden gate bridge hybrid seems to embody the 2 year journey from the small BK boutique to bicoastal franchise. Keep up the great work BKC

All of ‘em…if I had to pick one, I’d pick 1, 4 and 9 in no particular order, lol. The typography and color combo on One!!!! 9 executed the “from Bk to the bay” concept perfectly. The potential of the Elephant Character in entry 4 lasts beyond your 2 year anniversary in my opinion. All excellent work though. As Usual, I’m blown away

4 is great, that elephant in the top hat is clever. 6 is also has a good vintage sign inspired look. Keepin it simple.

Design 8 is definitely my favorite. Everything about it POPS… I can definitely see that being worn & being a a consumer favorite.

Design 9 is my runner up, even though that particular color for the shirt isn’t doing much for me (if that’s the color of the shirt you guys decide to roll with.

and my third favorites is a toss up between 6 & 11… both have designs I can see being worn.

    Jun 10th, 2010 #

One and six are definitely my favorites. The typography in these two are wonderful and the way the signature elephant was incorporated into one is very unique. As much as I enjoy number six, I still want a little bit more since it is the two year anniversary.

    just in time
    Jun 10th, 2010 #

Number 1- very fun idea and innovative, definitely uses the typography in a playful way.
Number 2- I like the elements but i don’t like the way they are put together. maybe if the banner was on the top of the circle to fit together better and you could have left out the scissors.
Number 3- the belt is cool, however the BK & BAY are too bold and pops a little too much if they were gray or striped it would be more cohesive. and the “to the” could have been a little sexier as connecting element.
Number 4- great illustration but that part is allot better then the type the basic type looks pretty generic.
Number 5- cool illustration but the type doesn’t look believable on that newspaper.
Number 6- very nicely done but it looks like a shirt the Brooklyn circus already has made.
Number 7- the wind at the top is interesting and i like the 2 but the crest could be embellished more.
Number 8- looks pretty pro but doesn’t stand out as much because there’s not a strong concept like the others.
Number 9- GETS MY VOTE only thing is I think the orange highlight around “the Brooklyn circus” doesn’t make it pop it actually pushes it back but otherwise the type looks good.
Number 10- the image looks great but the type layout could be better.
Number 11- the party hats look like horns and the 2 isn’t the feel of the brand however the layout below that works. the balloons are a nice touch.
Number 12- not bad.. but I definitely see that you’re the brains behind 12, 3 & 4 not mad at u man.
Yep! well that’s what I have to say. good job contestants!

The LifeStyle of BKC is represented by many of these designs. However, #8 stands out the most to me. Dress up, Dress down, khakis, jeans, shorts or a good ol’ hood fitted would go great with it.

    Christopher Johson
    Jun 10th, 2010 #

Favorite: 8 “Very Mod approach to the expected ‘circus’ feel. Definitely stand out. Could see this doing well in the market.”

Runner up: 1 “The simple fact that the type lock creates an elephant, shoot me, that’s brilliant!”

Still dope: 6 , 11 “If BKc is throwing a Anniversary party, & I wanted to show some support, these would be those shirts”.

Everything else is good, but they all look like vectorized clip art.
    Originality is questioned.

    Jun 10th, 2010 #

OFF TOP! A LOT OF THESE PEACES LOOK LIKE THEY’VE BEEN TAKEN STRAIGHT FROM VECTOR SOURCES. I’M GOING TO HAVE TO GO WITH #8 BECAUSE IT LOOKS THE MOST APPEALING TO ME, AND PROBABLY THE ONLY ONE I’D ROCK. ALSO, ITS STYLE IS SO MUCH LAID BACK FROM BK’S ORIGINAL STYLE; THAT PEOPLE LIKE ME, WHO ENJOY SIMPLICITY AND STEEZ WILL ENJOY BECAUSE NEITHER IS COMPROMISED. “BROOKLYN CIRCUS, SAN FRANCISCO”, ITS STRAIGHT TO THE POINT. THE COLORS CHOSEN COULDN’T HAVE BEEN BETTER. THE NAVY BLUE COMPLIMENTS THE GOLD, WINE & WHITE COLORS. I’D ROCK IT.

#11 is very BKC but in a modern way. A very fresh take on BKC’s traditional vernacular. That one gets my vote.

But #6 is also very strong in composition. Good typography that doesn’t have to be salvaged by images.

3, 4, and 12 are the best designs by far, full of BKc spirit. Vector is there to be used and this guy clearly knows how to use it better than some of the others here. I want to buy these T’s!
8 is cool but reminds me of Abercrombie & Fitch, so not that original – sorry.

I’m wondering BKcSF staff… will these t-shirts also be available to the online realm? Or maybe the NY staff? I hope the design won’t be only exclusive to the SF store.

And also, what colorways for the shirt that does win did you guys have in mind? Will it only be one shirt, one color…. or more than one shirt with different colorways, etc?

Certainly we’ve seen enough “static” (not status) artwork on T’s. I like the energy/movement of #9. Whereas, #2 isn’t so typical that the anniversary won’t render it unwearable in 2 weeks. -All have exceptional use of clip art/graphics/block cuts; but where’s the Soul?

1,8, and 9. The type is great on #1 but I’d like to see a different composition for the two elements (the ‘BKc’ and the ‘2 Years Strong’). 8 is clean, simple and is a great shout out to the store location. #9 the sleeve crest does it for me even though I can barely see it lol… They’re all fresh though!
