Happy New year to all of our readers, supporters and loyal guest. I wanted everyone to get back to their desk to unleash my predictions for 2010, while publicly thanking everyone who made 2009 possible.
The year is fresh, the air is crisp and we are set to plan out another beautiful year. Call it acknowledgment or a pat on the back, but I think our staff on both coast surely deserve a standing ovation. You guys have worked diligently in being role models for all of the people who continue to follow the BKc story on the blog, Le Cirque at Yoshi’s, the events, at the stores, through a friend or relative.

This year based on how our traffic has quadrupled over the past year I hope to hear from our readers allot more. Our monthly unique visitors is at an all time high and I expect to see more comments, all of our closet readers, comment. I had plans to say a ton, but I really want to hear from you, yep!:

Tell us what you would like to see this year, what you enjoyed last year or don’t want to see repeated. The online store was a major wish for 2009 and we cut it close but delivered. Now what are your BKc wishes for 2010? The comment section is open for suggestions, complaints and 2010 BKc wishes. Nothing is too big or too small. ie. more video, Gabe the Great speaks more, The Bearded Man speaks, a BKc cross country trip, less parties, more parties, BKc + Jay Z, BKc + Commes des garcons, BKc + Woolrich, name it we’ll consider it. We fed you, now its your turn to Feedback . . .

    Stay tuned for a full recap of 2009 . . .

i too am interested in your plans for the bkc style tv. it is my personal belief that a video segment would help the bkc to grow and would be quite the treat for loyal supporters/ customers. Lastly i personally would like to see a few more bkc sf updates than usual. I enjoy reading and being informed on the activities and product releases that take place on both coasts and bkc sf needs just a little more love. Cuz its the Brooklyn way. Ive been to the bkc nyc quite a few times bearded man , from baltimore and i have yet to see you there. i dont believe in luck but hopefully 2010 is my year. I dont think you guys will ever have any idea how much you inspire people like myself.

Hello, well I strongly believe you guys should give it some thought to release the BKc black and grey sweaters, which have BKc written on the right upper chest and on the sleeve another fine logo. I would love to see more in store pictures of customers and staff members and twitter sale friendly updates.

whats good BKc, as far as the blog post thats good, always something different keeping me at the edge of my seat wondering whats going on at the store, or around the neighborhood etc… which is good me since i go to school in texas but from NJ

LOOKBOOK: although the lookbook displayed on your website is good i would rather it be something i can buy as a collectors item each year and different syles and seasons for people who dont live in the states of your location but are still loyal fans of your empire. Possibly showing a number of different styles and outfits you can wear with your clothing line while still giving that soulful BK vibe pics ( steady with the hands there a little blury unless thats what your going for then good ish)

SHOP: not alot of clothes to choose from, which i could understand if your put all your clothes online there would be no need for the store. but if you could, just a tad bit of more clothes and i guess the exclusive styles will only be for the people who live in the area of the store.

VISUAL: BKc post party invite that i wish i could go to but i cant (texas remember). although you post the pics( dont get me wrong they are good visuals i would double the flow of pics) and they say 1000 words, its sometimes just not good enough. video of the party nights would help fans like myself and others see and feel the essense and the lifestyle and really show what it is to be and to wear BKc. i would highly recommend TONE for something like that his visuals are good. And one thing BKc style tv whats up with that im still waiting but patience is key i guess.

just a thought from a fan of BKc.

I agree with Benny. I think patches would be a great thing to have, because for people who can’t afford certain items they like or can’t find what they are looking for can buy some patches and represent BKc by ironing it or sewing it onto a vintage piece they already have.

I think it would be interesting to see you guys do something shoe-wise, maybe BKc + Sebago? I can see you guys tearing it up with something like that.

I’d also love to see metal-work. The elephant rings and bracelet you guys posted on the blog awhile back were phenomenal.

Besides products, it would be awesome to have more store events. Obviously the SF store has a lot going in with Yoshi’s every weekend, but it would be great to be able to go to bbqs at the actual store or something. One of the best times I’ve spent at the BKc was a Sunday morning with some mimosas checking out the new gear.

So a while back on the blog there was a sneak peak of a black/red western style long sleeve button down- similar to the BKc Gingham Pink shirt thats in the online shop now. Those looked amazing… What ever happened to those? Did they drop and i just missed the fyi?

Also would like to see all the “Brooklyns Hell” tee from the BKc Motors co. collection in all colorways make its way in the online shop as well.

Congrats on agreat 2009. It’s been a wonderful experience watching and experiencing the Brooklyn Circus and BKc growth throught the last couple years. And with that watching my myself grow (shrinking physically is more like it) back into my own creative self again with the BKc as my #1 inspiration. The BKc “movement” has helped release the creative and expression that were once just thoughts into my daily release. Not realizing it before, but seeing myself in the above photo, I couldnt fathom doing that 2 years ago. To that I say thank You.

As for 2010 requests, a Polo + BKc collabo or better yet Rugby + BKc collabo may just be too much for me to take. More parties, more books, collabos with 3sixteen, Tanner Goods, Commes…, and Pastelle if it ever hits. More BKc would suit me just fine. Uh and oh yea…MORE BLACKOUT SALES!!

Congrats on the online store… a bit overdue but never past due! I think the brand has grown by leaps and bounds over the last couple years. Back in ‘06, first starting out, I loved throwing on the logo tees. Good times. It seemed like every time I got a great look going, you guys did a 180-degree flip each season. From the simple logo tees and amazing hoodie days, to CMYK and JPN lines, to Warriors and today’s Nauticals and new classic BKc polished looks. Please, keep us up — keep us fresh but, most of all, the fun is when BKc keeps us guessing.

The “skillionaire” took the thoughts right out of my head. Rugby X Bkc!
I’d love to see a rugby shirt with those ill BKc patches.

The details and cut on your pea coat have me crossing my fingers that there could be a BKc toggle coat in the near future. My 2010 and beyond wish list also includes a wool cap splashed with some elephants, a tweed down vest and more varsity jackets.

Congrats on a great year and I’m looking forward to what the BKc has to offer in 2010.

The BKc blog is something I check almost everyday and I think the Bearded Man, Gabe and the rest of the BKc team are doing a superb job. I know when I first found this site almost a year ago you guys had a blog post about the types of books you read in your spare time. I am from Toronto and won’t get a chance to visit the Brooklyn store until this spring so was hoping that you guys will post a good book you’ve read every so often. I have no idea if the BKc still has “The Changing of the Guards” available but if you do I was hoping to see those pop up in the online store as well.

Hi , I have been a big fan of the brand for a few years now . It’s amazing how much progress you guys have made. I’m also interested in seeing the development of bkc style tv. I saw the preview a while ago and it seemed like a dope concept. I will stay supporting from Atl and hopefully be able to make a trip to experience the BKc experience in person. Keep up the good Work … THUMBS UP !
