Gabe’s Top 3 Eateries in Brooklyn:
Gabe the Great had the opportunity to roam the streets of Brooklyn searching out a few of his favorite wining and dining locales to share with the BKc community. All spots are positioned in different neighborhoods in Brooklyn but all have a sense of style & character that fit succinctly with the BKc system of approach when it comes to customer service served with a quality product.

Experience:
City Sub, a sandwich spot The Bearded Man introduced me to. A funny story with this is, we were in Midtown running errands when we both decided it was time to eat. Ouigi told me he had a great spot for us to go to but we’d have to go back to Brooklyn. I was like, ‘We’re in the middle of the city, going back to Brooklyn is not an option. Ouigi argued that it would be the most delicious sandwich I’ve ever had in your life, “I’ll tell you what, you don’t like it, I’ll pay for it.” So we went and sure enough it was the best.
Meal of Choice: They have literally 40 to 50 sandwich choices and they’re all on a board and they break it down for you what’s in each sandwich. Recently I ordered #21 (all sandwich choices are numbered), it was cajun flavored turkey with swiss cheese on a sesame hero and of course you add of course you put whatever you want on it and I’ve been hooked on that sandwich ever since.

-Cardigan: BKc Light mustard cardigan
-Hat: cool grey Hand Blocked felt BKc pork pie hat
-Jeans: BKc Japanese Selvedge “Slim straight” denim
-Shirt: BKc Japanese floral print short sleeve grey western
-Vest: Vintage navy corduroy vest
Experience: It’s a cute and quaint French spot and when you walk in it has a nice and moody vibe to it. They’re known more so for their lunch and brunch on the weekends.
Meal of Choice: I had the salmon burger and it was really good. Most salmon burgers are pretty good and they’re hard to mess up but they also had the avacado spread and they left chunks on the side. Everything was made fresh and the dish had a nice side of french fries that weren’t too heavy accompanied by a nice salad. What I really like about that spot and what I like about most French spots is they start you off with that bread and butter (laughs), and I’m a bread and butter fanatic!

Experience: It’s always nice to go to a spot where you know a familiar face. I love the mood in there it feels very BKc. I love the attention to detail in the restaurant, even with the light fixtures and seating. I just had a cold glass of Guiness at this spot. I would definitely consider this a nice little night spot, very intimate setting, a nice place to take a date.
Meal of Choice: Colin is pretty hooked on the cheese burger there and The Bearded Man lives by their gumbo.
