This bag is made with a hand woven, vegetable dyed Oaxacan wool rub. Hand weaving was introduced to Navajo Indians thousands of years ago by the Spanish and Pueblos as a nomadic craft. Natural elements used included berries, moss, tree bark and larvae to create vibrant reds, greens, browns and yellows. Today Zapotec weaving is still a prominent trade in the Oaxaca culture. We''re excited to share this piece of ancient history with you in our bags. Will Leather Goods supports small communities through fair trade principles and environmentally conscious designs.
