BKc x Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Apple Classic Remix

By Hypebeast

Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Apple Classic Remix is redefining the way we look at how fashion is created.

Its mission has always been about amplifying the authentic voices of designers who deserve recognition. While big-name fashion brands are too focused on growing at unimaginable speeds, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Apple Classic Remix spotlights independent designers who take things a little slower – they adhere to a careful and more considered approach to creating quality pieces that will stand the test of time.

Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Apple Classic Remix is now in its fourth year and it brings back a familiar name –

Ouigi Theodore of The Brooklyn Circus, who was tapped for Classic Remix’s inaugural year. The Brooklyn Circus, under the helm of Theodore, is as authentic as they come in regards to its premium craftsmanship, timeless aesthetic and the community it fosters. The label continues to tell the story of the Black American experience through its clothing and with authenticity in mind.

For year one of Classic Remix, Theodore created a similar, yet different varsity jacket inspired by Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Apple.

The brown leather and green wool piece also showcased the familiar Brooklyn Circus “B” patch at the front alongside a Jack Apple insignia. At the sleeves, the Jack Daniel’s logo was carefully embroidered, while the lining also featured the full Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Apple logo. When the jacket released in February of 2021, it sold out in less than 30 minutes, prompting a second drop that was only available through pre-order

Returning for year four, The Brooklyn Circus’ Ouigi Theodore took inspiration from Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Apple once more.

The capsule, consisting of a new varsity jacket, a cardigan and cap not only reflects the aesthetic of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Apple, but also drives the idea of remixing familiar silhouettes for contemporary fashion fans. The jacket comes in The Brooklyn Circus’ signature varsity style – it has a dark green wool body with cream leather sleeves. The label’s “B” logo is patched at the front with Jack Apple branding. The cardigan comes in cream and has the same “B” patch and Jack Apple branding on the front. Striped sleeves give it a scholarly feel, while patch front pockets bring the piece together seamlessly. Lastly, a cap in dark green and cream completes the capsule. The accessory also features the same “B” logo and Jack Apple artwork.
